Synopsis:
An Iraqi Kurdish couple with their child and a Syrian Arab couple with their child, who are the only survivors of the boat of war migrants, venture into the sea to escape the fire of war and save the lives of their children in order to find a shelter, aboard the smugglers' ship with an unknown destination.
DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Iraj Abbasi is an Iranian Kurdish filmmaker living in Khuzestan. He has made more than seven short fiction and documentary films and has been nominated for awards at domestic and foreign festivals. Last year, he was selected as the best screenwriter at the Iranian Cinema Festival in Khuzestan Province and this year, he was selected as the best director at the third Iranian Cinema Festival in Khuzestan Province. Among his most important works are the short film: "A Piece of Life", which has had 12 international appearances so far and has been nominated once for the best film at the Kobane Festival in Germany and once won the Best Actor Award at the Daredevil Festival in New York, as well as the film "Crazy People Don't Cry" and the documentary film: The Voice is Around. He is currently in the pre-production stage of his new short film.
