Synopsis:

Maribel, 10, is surprised when her drama teacher tells her that she has to play Hamlet in the school play just 2 days before the show, as she is the only one available after the girl who was playing Hamlet got sick and won’t make it. Maribel faces the biggest decision of her life: what to do when she has never taken a part in a play before, other than being a set decoration. She goes home and spends the scariest night of her life with all her fears coming to life.

DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY

Antonious Bassily, an Egyptian pharmacist who decided to switch to filmmaking. He studied filmmaking in New York film academy in 2013. He also studied filmmaking at the Jesuit Cairo Cinema School and graduated in 2022.
He wrote and Directed “A Thousand Nights”, “Once There was a Boy”, “Ehem” and “I Can Smell A Rat”.
His films participated in several festivals. “Once there was a boy” won best short film in Rising Sun International Film Festival in Japan in 2020 and the best arab short film in Lebanon Independent Film Festival 2021.
He directed a music video “Schizophrenia” which participated and won best music video award at the Black Star International film festival in Ghana 2022.
