Synopsis:

"THE ETHNIC ORIGINS OF BEAUTY : Episode 1" is a pilot of the documentary cycle about ethnic diversity of humanity through the beauty of women of peoples around the world.

In each episode, five girls, representing five different ethnic groups, united by one language environment, talk about understanding of their ethnic identity, the manifestations of ethnic roots in their lives, about traditions, and share things that make them proud or sad about their people.

The first episode offers the opportunity for the viewer to get acquainted with the diversity of peoples of the Russian-speaking linguistic area, to enjoy the beauty of faces, nature, traditional music, costumes and other cultural manifestations through portraits and revelations of Khakas, Karelian, Crimean Tatar, Russian and Karachay women.

DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY

Natalia Ivanova was born in 1983 in Brest (Belarus).
Graduate of MGIMO (Moscow University of International Relations), faculty of political science. In 2010, she graduated from SPEOS, Paris International Institute of Professional Photography with a specialization in photojournalism. Natalia has been working in Paris since 2010 as an independent photographer, photo reporter, videographer and producer for various media and international agencies. Co-founder of "NBREC studio" production. Author, photographer, producer and film director of the multimedia project about ethnic diversity of the world «THE ETHNIC ORIGINS OF BEAUTY».
