STARS OF TOMORROW is a professional event for representatives of the film industry. This is a pitching session for new film projects from France, the USA, Finland, interested in cooperation with Spanish, American and French film funds and film companies for joint production. We are confident that all these film projects, which we carefully selected and prepared for the pitch in San Sebastian, thanks to your feedback and support will become the STARS OF TOMORROW!

Pitching of new film projects in the
Londres Hotel, San Sebastian

During the SSIFF, which took place from 20-28 September 2024, in San Sebastián, Spain, we organized a pitching and presentation of film projects as part of the STARS OF TOMORROW program.

The event was attended by investors, sponsors, and production companies participating in SSIFF, as well as invited guests from the film industry from various countries.

The event attracted the attention of film industry professionals, providing a platform for the presentation of ambitious projects aimed at an international audience.

The jury showed particular interest in four projects, which were awarded in various categories. These include:

- "It Was Yesterday", a feature film based on Toma Torres' book "Angels don't live in hotels", received the award for "International Success Potential." This project attracted attention for its originality in storytelling and its potential for international distribution.

- "The French Heritage", based on Azretali Saubanov's novella "Asparuh Bridge," won the award for "Best Visual Concept." The jury praised the project's visual style and artistic depth, making it appealing to a global audience.

- The American comedy project "Sheldon Mashugana Returns to the Future," created by popular actor and director Dean Morgan, was recognized as the "Best Pitching Project." The jury noted its unique storytelling approach and the project's potential to attract a broad audience.

- Additionally, "Go West", a project by director Gabriel Boyer, which is a transformation of his earlier short film of the same name, received the award for "Most Flexible Project." This project was honored "for the ability to adapt to different formats (film, series, digital platforms, etc.)", showcasing its versatility across various media.
